Elections of the Sudan Football Association starts, Monday, amid much controversy after the exclusion of the former President of the Association, Kamal Shaddad, to run for a third term by a decision of the Sports Commission. FIFA has threatened to suspend Sudan from international football activities if its government does not lift a ban on several candidates standing in elections for the
country's Football Association executive committee. The candidates competing for the association's presidency are the former President of Al Hilal Club, Salah Idris, and the former Vice President of Sudan Football Association, Mutasim Jafar.
