The Government of Southern Sudan minister of Education, Michael Milli, said that the enrolment rate of children in Primary School has raised over one million in 2009 compare to four hundred thousand in 2006.
Milli said that the number requires more learning space and teachers. He blamed some authorities in the States for using the downsizing policy for getting rid of able teachers with whom they have personal misunderstandings.
Milli cautioned that downsizing process is not supposed to affect teachers except if they can not deliver, adding that there are a lot of challenges in education sector and little has been achieved.
