Khartoum Water Minister denies contamination in state water supply

Khartoum State Minister of Environment and Water, Yousif Tebn, has denied the existence of contaminated water in state's water network. In a report he submitted to Khartoum state Council of Ministers Wednesday, Tebn said that the ministry provides technical materials and laboratory test every hour.

6 day eye treatment campaign in Eastern Equatoria

The National Health Insurance Fund has launched an eye treatment campaign in Eastern Equatoria State targeting over 2000 people with eye infections. Speaking to Radio Miraya, the Director of the Health Services, Abdullah Hassan Faki, said that about 12 doctors are ready to deliver their Services to the neediest community in the State.

One month Fistula treatment campaign in Lakes State

WHO announces the end of Swine Flu

The World Health Organization, on Wednesday, announced the end of H1N1, also known as swine flu, and that its spread world wide was less than feared last year. Margret Chan, the organization's director general, said that the vaccine which was improved in record time is still effective against the disease, pointing out that the virus has surpassed its maximum period of infectivity.

Graduation of 23 community health workers in Wau

Western Bahr El-Ghazal ministry of health in collaboration with Mary Help training Centre for Nurses and Health Workers and the Sudanese Red Crescent society has graduated 23 community health workers on Tuesday in Wau after three months training. Addressing the graduates at the closing ceremony, the state Minister of Information and Communications, Baptist Sebit Francis, urged the graduates to put what they have learned into action.
