Referendum interview with Haile Menkerios SRSG, UN Mission in Sudan

The Special Representative for the UN Secretary General, Haile Menkerios, was in Juba to speak with Southern Sudan Government officials including the Vice President Riak Machar to look at pre-referendum planning.
Our reporter Emmanuel Achaha caught up with him and asked him about his assessment of the situation in Sudan as the country moves to Referendum, the final phase of the CPA implementation.

Interview Makur Majak of Manuki Youth League

Youth for Separation is a branch of the Sudan People's Liberation Movement SPLM , formed to enlighten the people of Southern Sudan to make informed choices in the 2011 referendum. To enable them achieve this objective, the group has come up with a monthly program to create awareness for the youth about self determination. Radio Miraya's reporter Sworo Charles caught up with the Secretary for Finance, Youth for Separation SPLM Munuki Youth League, Makur Majak and asked him to explain why youth are opting for secession.

A Zambian Sports Journalist, Sanday Chongo Kabange, spoke to radio Miraya on the 2010 World Cup in South Africa. Sanday says African players should be invested right from the grassroots. Football is the most popular sports in the world today. It has more supporters than any other sports activity in the world, and  has more followers than any religion. Today football is the tool of communication and the tool of unity. It unites everyone without any dialogue or negotiations. South Afria is hosting for the first time in the African hidtory the World Cup event.

The Directorate of Eye Care in collaboration with the Nur al Uyun "light in the eye" team from Egypt is carrying out an eye treatment campaign for feasibility of constructing an Eye service in Southern Sudan. Miraya's reporter Tidio Betty caught up with the Director of Eye services in Southern Sudan, Dr. Wani Mena and asked him the main causes of eye diseases.
